Reward offered for fugitive who escaped from court

October 29, 2018

A reward is being offering for information leading to the arrest of a Missouri City man who was charged with escape after fleeing a courtroom Monday, Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg announced.

Terry Dewayne Rodgers, 38, was charged with the felony offense of Escape from Custody after running from the 351st State District Court.

Rodgers had been conditionally free on bond on an Assault of a Family Member charge, and was back in court Monday after being arrested Friday for possession of the controlled substance, ecstasy.

Moments before Rodgers bolted, a prosecutor had asked a judge to revoke Rodgers’ bond due to the new drug charge. The judge ordered Rodgers be taken into custody.

Crime Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information leading to Rodgers being arrested for the escape.

Information may be reported by calling 713-222-TIPS (8477), submitted online at www.crime-stoppers.org or via the Crime Stoppers mobile app called Crime Stoppers Houston.

Tipsters remain anonymous.
