Man gets 99 years for rape

News Release:

Man gets 99 years for rape. “You’ve made me mess up your pretty face,” he said during attack

A man was sentenced to 99 years in prison by a judge after a jury took just 15 minutes to convict him of rape, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday.

The woman, who survived the attack, testified during the four-day trial of her attacker’s chilling words.

“See what you’ve made me do. Now you’ve made me mess up your pretty face,” she testified that Darias Lacour told her. “You should have just done what I said.”

A Houston Police officer stopped the June 2015 attack when he walked up to a Pontiac sedan parked in an abandoned lot on Press Street.

Among the evidence presented at trial was a video Lacour recorded of the rape with his own phone.

“Justice has been served for the victim and our community,” said Assistant District Attorney Stephany Urrea, who prosecuted the case.
